Day 14: Giftmas Eve

Today was Giftmas Eve, which meant we trooped off to celebrate with Nik's parents.

That meant the poor puppies had to entertain themselves for most of the day. (Though spending the day inside was a good thing cause it was a bazzilion degrees).

Before we left we got some pics of the puppers and made sure they were all played out (which didn't take that long in the heat).

The puppers got to bed pretty early cause there were all excited about Santa visiting.

Day 13: Happy Birthday, Mitch!

Today was a very special day for Mitch, his second Birthday.

Unfortunately the day was really hot and humid so it wasn't until the afternoon that festivities could kick off. First up it was off to the park for a walk. It was still pretty hot so it wasn't the longest walk ever.

Once back from the walk Mitch got a nice groom from Nik so he would look his best on his big day.

Then it was cake time. Mitch had a yummy Lamb cake and after blowing out the candles and making a wish (for more bones obviously) he shared some with Soaks.

After that is was time to open his present. This proved a bit difficult but he finally got it done and found a bright blue fish ball thing inside. Soaks and Mitch put it straight to the test.

Finally, Mitch got to snack on a special treat from his Mum and Dad, a yummy lamb bone (wow, today was full of lamb).

All in all a pretty neat Birthday i reckon.

Day 12

Today was pretty boring with next to nothing to report. It was a quite day before the big Birthday celebrations tomorrow.

Mitch did some training and spent a bit of time playing with Soaks.

He was also a bit of a naughty boy, eating one of Soaks's toys and ripping all the stuffing out.

Caught in the Act
Mitch "It's a setup"
Lookin' sharp
"I got it, Come get me"
Soaks is ready to pounce
Soaks: "I'll count to ten and then we'll both let go. Okay"
Jedi: "Guys, there are three more in the toy box".

Day 11

Today was a tough day for Mitch (Not really but this blog needs some Drama).

Jedi finally got his Mojo back and decided it was play time! Jedi is a pretty soft puppy but with all that hair and a mean look he had Mitch running scared. Jedi also thinks a lot more tactically than the other two and often attacks from the high group (the steps) or fights from a fortified position (His Hut).

Soaks also helped gang up on the 'new guy'. Poor Mitchy :(

After all the excitement of the 'new' toys (Jedi and Soaks's) Mitch has really started getting back into his old faithfulls.

Jedi: "Come and get me!"
Mitch takes up the challenge
Jedi: "I'm the king of the castle!"
Jedi telling Mitch who the Fluff Boss really is

The siblings gang up on the New Guy
Jedi Tackle
Woof!
Soaka Attack!
"Wow, this toy is huge, we need two mouths to carry it."

Day 10

Sunday was time for a trip to yet another park and a nice long walk around the waterfront.

The puppies started the day off with some play in the backyard. Chasing balls, running through the garden and testing out the jumps (Mitch doesn't really like jumps).

In the afternoon the dogs were all packaged in the car and shipped off to a nice park in Concord. They had a big walk and were all pretty tired by the time they got home.

Mitch taking it easy in the grass.
Soaks expressing her displeasure at having to stop walking for photos.
Mitch on the dock (much better behaved than soaks)
Having a rest half way round.

All three charging across the bridge together.

Day 9: Play, play, play!

Mitch and soaks had a big play day today. They are both getting pretty good at playing and can go non-stop for most of the day with only short breaks.

One of their favourite games is tug.
Soaks has the upper hand.
They also like to wrestle.
Soaks also has the upper hand at that.
They both like to chase balls.
